Position Summary
The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of team preparation, player development, and daily operations. This is a hands-on role for a motivated coach who can contribute to a high-performance culture and help lead the team to success on and off the pitch.
Key Responsibilities
- Training & Match Preparation:
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to design and deliver purposeful, engaging training sessions
- Support tactical preparation, match analysis, and in-game decision-making
- Manage pre-match warm-ups and assist with substitutions and sideline communication
- Player Development:
- Provide individualized coaching feedback and mentorship to players
- Contribute to video analysis sessions and player evaluations
- Promote professionalism, accountability, and a growth mindset across the squad
- Scouting & Recruitment:
- Assist with identifying and evaluating prospective players for future seasons
- Build relationships with local colleges, academies, and player networks
- Team Operations:
- Help organize team travel, equipment, and training logistics
- Support the creation of a safe, respectful, and inclusive team environment

Qualifications
- Licensing: Minimum USSF C License, USSF B License preferred (or internationally recognized equivalent)
- Experience:
- Coaching experience at the collegiate, semi-professional, or elite youth level
- Strong understanding of modern soccer tactics and player development principles
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a coaching team
- Familiarity with video analysis software and digital tools preferred

Commitment & Schedule
- Morning training sessions 3–5 times per week (May 1 – Aug 2, depending on post season appearances)
- All home and away matches, including some evenings and weekends. (~16 games in 12 weeks)
- Preseason preparation and post-season debrief activities

Compensation
